Leah Fox
I am a homebody by nature. Glenon Doyle said if she could marry a home, she would. I feel the same way.
I have a vision of a home that shows the passing of time by children's heights marked on the wall in the kitchen, prom pictures taken on the front steps, and family dinners around a big ole table. I dream of aging on my porch in a rocking chair, watching the sunset with my loved ones sitting next to me while my dog naps in the last slivers of sun.
The foundations of a fulfilled life seem to be time spent connecting, the luxury of mundane moments, and quality time with loved ones. In all of these visions I am at home or familiar locations known by my family and friends. NONE of my visions are in nursing homes or hospitals. I don’t see family dinners happening there; watching my grandchildren's first steps are not pictured in the halls of a facility.
My vision of time, home, and aging is not unique. That’s why I created Fox Home Consulting. I believe with access to a medically trained eye focused on environmental modification, living a long healthy life at home becomes a reality. My vision is to be a resource in our community to friends and family who are aging or have aging parents in their lives. My heart is filled by being of service to others, focusing on optimizing quality time and ease of life. I believe everyone deserves to live the future they see for themselves.
Updating our homes to optimize function, well being, and ease allows us to focus on what is important: family and loved ones. Whether you are caring for a loved one or planning for the next phase of your life, Fox Home Consulting gives you the right tools to transform your home for beauty, functionality and safety.
Who among us does not want ourself or our loved ones to age with dignity and grace within the comfort of home?
